April 24 Technology Planning Meeting
You don't have to be a techie to know that technology is taking another leap forward. If you want to join in a discussion about how these technologies can be harnessed to help our work, please join some of our state's technology experts for a look at what's new.
At this prelude to the Stakeholders Meeting, we will:
- Identify technology needs and solutions for diverse programs statewide
- Discuss effective use of technology to maximize staff time and reduce frustration
- Collaborate to build tools that bridge multiple users
- Standardize our systems to enable collaboration
Topics include: communication, call management, litigation and advocacy, case management system, and planning and management of technology systems.
April 25 Stakeholders Meeting
Join us for “Connecting the Dots”, the 2007 statewide stakeholders meeting, set for April 25, 2007 at the Milton Marks Conference Center at the Administrative Office of the Courts in San Francisco. This annual meeting brings together legal aid, pro bono, court, state bar, law school and other advocates to identify the issues impacting our clients, share solutions, develop plans, and network for the good of our community.
This year's theme: How do we create an effective "CONTINUUM OF SERVICES" that ensures everybody has meaningful access to justice?
This year's roundtable discussions include: law students as a resource: best practices; proposed pilot for civil representation; the role of self-help in the continuum of services; strategic planning to address the growing senior population; loss of leaders: strategic recruitment and retention; identifying new partners: model collaborations; moving policy forward through litigation; technology: what's hot (bringing the April 24 tech meeting to the broader community)
