Technical Assistance

PIC provides technical assistance and resource development for individual legal services nonprofits in the areas relating to nonprofit excellence. PIC consults with legal services organizations on the effective use of law student volunteers, pro bono best practices, funding resources and provides links and resources on similar topics, including the use of technology in legal services delivery.

PIC is facilitating an open discussion group among all California IOLTA-funded programs, with the objective of creating a self-sustained HR support network. Programs can interact by:

Talking with peers about structuring your organization's HR department
Exploring issues unique to HR in the legal services community
Sharing best practices and past experiences
Discussing topics such as employee benefits, training, career management, conflict resolution, useful software & technologies, hiring, and any other appropriate areas

Federal Loan Repayment Programs Listserv

PIC invites California legal services programs to name one staff person as their participant in this listserv dedicated to news updates and sharing of information on the workings of the new federal Loan Repayment programs for public interest attorneys.
